Making Your Mark with Intuitive Printmaking (Alternative Printmaking Techniques) (all levels)
Build a visual vocabulary with alternative printmaking techniques. Printmaking is defined as transferring an image from a matrix onto another surface. In this 2-day workshop we will explore that transfer process in a very loose and experimental way using simple tools and techniques that yield surprising results. Think monotypes, collagraphs, gelli prints; making and using stamps and stencils, positive and negative shapes, printing with found objects, etc. Participants will build their personal vocabulary of shape, texture and color. We will print on a variety of papers, each print informing the next. All materials provided, come and be part of this creative experimentation.
